Important Days In 2019

People from all over the world celebrate Christmas in so many different ways and you will be quite surprised at the stories behind many of these Christmas traditions. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter designated Senior Citizens Month as "Older Americans Month." Today, Older Americans Month is celebrated each May to honor and recognize older Americans for the contributions they make to our families, communities and society.
It's a quirk of many cultures that people don't feel particularly patriotic about their homeland until they've left it. This is certainly true of the Kiwis, who celebrate Waitangi Day - commemorating the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi - with only mild interest in New Zealand, but with true black-jerseyed, face-painted gusto in hotbeds of Antipodean infestation such as London.

Hanukkah - Ḥănukkāh, usually spelled חנוכה, pronounced χanuˈka in Modern Hebrew; a transliteration also romanized as Chanukah or Chanukkah), also known as the Festival of Lights, Feast of Dedication, is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the re-dedication of the Holy Temple (the Second Temple) in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire of the 2nd century BC. Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days, starting on the 25th day of Kislev according to the Hebrew calendar, which may occur at any time from late November to late December in the Gregorian calendar.
Then in December 1977, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Independence Day Canada Peace to be observed on any day of the year by Member States, in accordance with their historical and national traditions.

The political and geo-political tumult of the 20th century, with two world wars and major decolonisation of Asia and Africa, also resulted in scores of political and cultural public holidays created to mark the end of war, the independence that countries successfully secured, and to celebrate the lives of individuals who were key to struggles for freedom.
There are a few days in the year, when we are able to fully dedicate, celebrate and revel in the magnificence of our planet, our environment and the plethora of life that exists upon it. Along with this, these days are used as a platform to spread awareness on multiple issues that are harming the environment and causing life forms to suffer unnecessary pain.
In reality, when you study the above passages where Christ spoke of these events, you notice that the contemporaries of Christ, especially His followers and close collaborators, viewed His "second" coming as a political event whereby Christ will be enthroned as King in Israel (remember He was the rightful heir of King David).

Next all the moisture had to be removed from the body, this was done by eating only tiny bits of bark and pine tree roots for 1,000 days and drinking a special poisonous tea which would cause the drinker diarrhoea and vomiting as well as lining the stomach and intestines to protect them from maggots.
The United States, Cuba and Germany as well many other countries across the world the main event is the birthday cake decked with candles one for each year. In Scotland, Valentine's Day is traditionally celebrated with a festival where unmarried males and females gather together.
Chinese New Year (also called Spring Festival) is the biggest holiday of the year in China and other large communities of Chinese throughout the world. February is also Black History Month and includes International Snow Sculpting Week. Events and activities held during the week include conferences, demonstrations, press releases, campaigns, advertisements, training workshops, and panel discussions.

March is also Women's History Month and includes International Brain Awareness Week. To make Christmas holidays a great fun, having in mind the working abroad, maybe you could think about sending special cards. These days can be proposed by UN members and are established by resolutions of the United Nations or of UN agencies like UNESCO, UNEP and WHO.
But aside from these worldwide holidays, there are also some celebrations that are unique to a particular group of countries. In most countries Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May, among them the USA, Canada, most European countries, Australia, New Zealand, India, China, Japan, the Philippines and South Africa.
