Music Lessons

Alamo Music Center offers lessons for a variety of instruments at both of our San Antonio locations. Customized learning plans are developed based on each individual's needs, weaknesses, strengths, background, level of confidence, and interests, and students get to study rhythm, music theory, ear training, and other musicianship skills via computer tutorials as well.
The thorough learning program includes practice guidelines, worksheets, and various exercises for home along with lesson goals for everything Piano Lessons from reading music by intervals and learning repertoire from different periods to the proper use of a metronome and piece memorization.



I teach beginners as well as transfer students who've studied previously and am known for my ability to repair a student's piano technique, boost sight reading ability, and teach a wide variety of styles to suit a student's taste and life-long goals.
Ms. Thompson.'s students have won top prizes in local, state and national level competitions including the San Antonio Symphony Rising Stars Competition, Texas Music Teachers Association Performance Contest (Solo, Concerto and Ensemble divisions), Junior Tuesday Musical Club Competition, Hodge's Contemporary Piano Competition, Petroff Competition, McLennan Competition, Texas State Young Pianist Competition, Baylor Waco Competition, Pearl Amster Concerto Competition and the DeBose National Piano Competition.

Northside Music School has been in business since 1954, so you can be absolutely sure that you are in good, experienced hands. The center has a reputation for being safe, encouraging, and friendly with an innovative and engaging curriculum, and teacher Pablo Aguilar is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music by the Music Teachers National Association.
All Performance Program students are eligible to audition for this prestigious program. Took Piano lessons from Dan S. Northside Music School was started in 1954 and has provided lessons to students of all levels, ages and backgrounds ever since. Lessons are taught by both full-time and part-time faculty.

Phil also teaches beginner music lessons for guitar, piano and voice, please ask about our our advanced instructors for piano, guitar and voice lessons. School of Rock San Antonio teaches adults how to sing in our innovative Adult Program. The lessons are equally fun and challenging so the students really want to practice.
